Retro Rides and CJ

Retro Rides and CJ

Everything Italian is what is under CJ's care at East Coast Motorcylces. And what that means is that CJ looks after the Aprilia brand of motorcycles.

The bike that captured our attention when I went to visit CJ this week was the Dorsoduro 1200. The Italian flair for design is easy to spot on this muscular machine. "There is ample power with this model," CJ imparted to me as his hand lovingly caressed the slick black leather seat.

There is a lot to know about this power and extremely agile machine, CJ told me that the attention to detail has been backed up with solid engineering specs. Everything on the bike is robust and yet elegant. At no point did the designers compromise strength for style and looks, and at the same time there is no evidence that they ever compromised style for durability and strength.

I was sold on the confidence that CJ had in the Aprilia Dorsoduro, I needed no further convincing.

This weekend, on Sunday the 26th, Aprilia is holding a Café Racer breakfast run to Intaba View in the Valley of a Thousand Hills and you are all invited. Riders are to meet at the dealership at 10 Meridian Drive, Umhlanga Ridge at around seven thirty to depart en route at around eight.

Even though it is a Café Racer event, all types of motorbikes are welcome so just turn up and ride out to the breath-taking views of a thousand undulating hills. Call them on 031 566 3024 for more details or to test ride the Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200.
