CROW receives support

CROW receives support

Date: 2015-01-16

Sponsors of the 2015 Calendar in support of CROW are, from left, Gavin du Plessis from RoGa Plastics, Nicholas Hean from PailPac Plastics, Johnathan Mendonidis of Koogan Packaging and CoroKraft's Guy Barreau. The four companies have sponsored a page of the calendar for four years in succession with RoGa, PailPac and CoroKraft having been involved since inception, six years ago.

According to Guy Barreau from CoroKraft, wildlife is South Africa's biggest asset. ''Not only does it attract tourists to our country but provides us with so much pleasure,'' says Guy. ''We derive so much enjoyment out of going on game drives and watching these majestic animals in their natural habitat and what do we do for them in return? Supporting this calendar campaign, which helps to raise vital funds for KZN's stricken wildlife, is our way of giving back,'' concludes Guy.

Produced by local voluntary association, 'Under an African Sky', the 2015 Born Free wildlife calendar campaign is once again raising much needed funds for Durban-based wildlife rehab centre, CROW. Featuring stunning shots of Africa's wildlife and their progeny, the 2015 calendar's "Born Free" theme is a fitting one, given that CROW's mission, for the past 34 years, has been to give injured and orphaned wildlife a second chance at a free life back in the wild.

CROW's Director, Claire Hodgkinson said she cannot stress enough the important role that these calendar campaigns are playing in raising crucial funds for the organisation and as such she is appealing to the public to please show their support and buy the 2015 calendars. ''From the building of new enclosures and upgrading our clinic, to the purchase of a brand new 4x4 wildlife rescue and release vehicle, these calendar campaigns have become indispensable to our work,'' explains Claire.

The 2015 calendars are selling for R170 each, excluding postage, and are available from the CROW centre in Yellowwood Park. You can also place your order by visitingwww.underanafricansky.co.zaor emailing orders@underanafricansky.co.za. Desk calendars are available for R50 each.
