What's The Issue?

What's The Issue?

What a week for South Africa, with so many Springbok fans swallowing their words like Pilsner at the Oktoberfest and the national crime statistics being leaked to the international media, the revelations about how Hitachi Power and Chancellor House were so hand in glove in the Medupi power plant development program and the nineteen million dollar fine. I could put those nineteen million dollars to good use. There is a Breitling watch for me in there, plus a few other little goodies.

The fact that this has so much to do with our country's power production and the crisis we are facing in our economy due to power shortage and power outage, I don't know how there isn't a storm of protests out there.

Wow, how about those crime stats though. I'm so aware now just how lucky I am to be alive. I am also critically aware of just how lucky I am that I don't drive a truck. If I were to read into these statistics I would come up with all kinds of treasonous comments that would end me up in a tiny little jail cell somewhere where they wouldn't even give me dry pap and water.

I know, I have a great idea, lets get somebody, even a female person, and make them Chief of Police. She need not have any police training or even have worked in the police, but we can make her the chief of all the police in the country and then we can see how that will help the people.

Well Jacob is out of the country attending the United Nations 70th Anniversary so he probably wont feel the heat for a few days until he gets back. Probably won't feel the heat then either, however the heat is really being felt by the civilians in Yemen with the bombs going astray and landing on weddings and other innocent people. The eighth Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon gave the assembly a lambasting regarding the collateral damage being metered out to the people of the Middle East.

Another person feeling the heat is American President Obommer, the Russian President left him looking like an imbecile with his callous comments about stronger nations and weaker nations and all in all Vladimir came out looking like he was the only guy who knew what he was speaking about. The US orchestrated coup of Assad's regime has backfired so badly in their face and now it is the Russian President who is making sense and looking like the true leader of the civilised world.

So as our currency slipped to an all time low on Heritage Day and the scandals broke and ran out into the streets like so much stink from the rotten corpse of corruption, the Unite Against Corruption movement tried in vain to unite but seemed to be sabotaged from within.

As a nation we all need this UAC campaign to work, for the sake of the people and not necessarily those in power.
