Mazda CX-5 - An SUV For The Whole Family

The first thing I noticed when I took the wheel of the Mazda CX-5 that I was test-driving, was the quality of the materials in the interior. Then the spaciousness dawned on me and the fact that I was alone in the car seemed to make it even bigger.
This is a car for the whole family or the adventurer and his buddies. The same quality of the interior was carried throughout the whole car, inside and out. Driving the CX-5 and I could feel the quality and robust build and this carried through to the overall performance.
The whole Mazda range has been given the treatment, with technology and comfort combined with safety and performance. You would be well advised to get down to CMH Mazda Umhlanga and take any one of their amazing new models for a drive.
I was test driving with the muscular 2.5 litre petrol automatic CX-5, which now produces 141 kilowatts and more than enough towing power with its 256 Newton meters of torque, so you can hitch up the caravan or trailer for the family.
Fuel efficiency in the 2.5 petrol derivative that I tested was very acceptable at a reported 7,4 litres per hundred kilometres and the equipment level that comes standard with the CX-5 puts it into the executive bracket.
The dark black leather seats complimented the up market design of the dashboard and dials. The adaptive LED headlights were almost startling and made night driving a touch safer with their automatic beam selection system.
Pushing the CX-5 hard into corners and over undulating dirt roads gave me a healthy respect for Mazda's SKYACTIV body, chassis and engine systems.
And then there were the dynamic good looks of the Mazda CX-5. Undeniably sophisticated and stylish, like a James Bond model, this is a car you should test drive for sure.
