Oh What a NIGHT! - Sex In The City : Rio Carnival

Oh What a NIGHT! - Sex In The City : Rio Carnival

Date: 2017-08-25

Last Friday night was a night to remember at the annual ladies only "Sex In The City" event, hosted by the Square Boutique Hotel. This year the theme was "Rio Carnival - Dress your Colourful Best" and both the host hotel as well as guests lived up to the theme in all its glory, making this surely one of the most memorable events on the Durban social calendar.

This year, invited ladies came dressed to impress in alluring Rio Style glittering ensembles, with extravagant headgear and bold flashy eye masks. The venue was decked out in a visual splash of colourful drapes, exotic feathers, tropical flowers, and theatrical Rio Carnival centrepieces, which set the tone for a night in Rio with the room festooned with shimmery lights creating a carnival experience for the guests.

A host of entertainment was lined up for the night from an Idol finalist, The Voice runner up, dancers, singers and celebrities from all over South Africa.

To round off the night, Sex in the City's ever charming and vivacious patron, Jenny Pillay, handed over a proceeds cheque to Janice Benecke of South Africa´s best-loved Breast Cancer Community Carer, PinkDrive, who was the charity of choice for this year's event.

Prizes to the tune of R300 000 were awarded to guests during the course of the evening, making this an even more memorable event for some lucky (and very well dressed) ladies.

One can only guess what fun, colourful and imaginative theme they will come up with for Sex in the City 2018, but whatever the theme is, it is guaranteed to be another extraordinary event.
