Richfield Graduate Institute of Technology held its 2nd Annual Women's Day Event in celebration of National Women's Day at La Aperitivo Conferencing Venue in Umhlanga. The afternoon was filled with fun, laughter and "real life" talk not forgetting the gorgeous ladies who turned up in their elegant outfits and sexy shoes.
The ladies enjoyed a high tea networking and socializing session followed by, a make-up treat session compliments of The Foschini Group and Red Square. They were also treated to freshly brewed imported flavoured tea compliments of Zana Tea.
It was an event unlike the usual where a panel of 8 professional, successful and inspiring women shared their experience and offered professional advice to a live audience.
The audience and speakers interacted and engaged freely on relevant topics that affect women on a personal, professional and social level. They discussed and shared on issues that affect women on a daily basis like dealing with sexual harassment in the workplace, bullying at home and the work place, women's health issues, personal health and wellness matters and basically taking care of themselves body, mind, soul and spirit.
The ladies walked away with the core message echoed through all the guest speakers being that Women are the core of society and we need to start taking our place in all spheres of our lives. We need to know who we are and be unafraid in acknowledging our worth as women. Never forgetting that we have voices and that we should start using our voices to empower not just ourselves but ensuring that our voices empower the next generation of strong willed women.
The event was a success and thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. The ladies walked away feeling very special with their goodie bags and long stemmed red roses, not forgetting the amazing lucky draw prizes generously sponsored by our awesome list of sponsors.
" Women are not recognized enough in the workplace and this was a great platform to acknowledge and demonstrate our appreciation for their contribution in the workplace." Said Sadanha Dayanand, Richfield Graduate Institute of Technology Sales and Marketing Coordinator.
