Local property developer and well-known businessman Horst Keil, has been in the property industry for the last three decades. Horst, as managing director of the then Realty1 Parsons Property Group was instrumental in selling the hugely successful Mount Edgecombe, Zimbali and Seaward Estates. He has also been involved in developments such as the first phase of the Ballito Junction, the Durban Point precinct and the shopping centre at Umdloti.
Horst, together with north coast architect, Bernard Lagesse and project engineer Rohan Eagar formed HBR Projects 3 years ago and have since built numerous homes in Palm Lakes before starting Manor Gardens.
Speaking to The Bugle on site last week, Horst was hugely excited about the new venture, as were the estate agents showing the property to their perspective buyers. "This development is unique," Horst told The Bugle, "We are not dependent on bank finances and our investors guarantee the completion of the project. Therefor our buyers do not have to worry about delays or financial holdups. Manor Gardens is forging ahead."
Priced at a realistic R1530000, Manor Gardens offers an affordable lifestyle without skimping on finishes or space. The generous 94 square meter units offer 2 or 3 bedroom options with two bathrooms. The ground floor garden units have proved very popular with families with small children as well as with elderly couples nearing retirement.
The competitive levies and state of the art 24 hour patrolled security with walled, electrified fencing make Manor Gardens an extremely attractive package.
Manor Gardens offers the investor lucrative rental opportunities and a seven-year return on investment which works out to a year on year return of 11,5%.
"The units were designed to be spacious and airy," says architect Bernard Lagesse.
"We thought hard about the finishes and have come up with a range that is really good value for money and is of the highest standard for this type of development."
Caesarstone counter tops, Blum runners and hinges, Grohe sanitary ware and glazed porcelain tiles are just some of the high spec finishes at Manor Gardens.
