Last Thursday morning brought more than just the usual market bustle to Verulam's Central Business District. In a bold move to counter rising criminal activity, Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) deployed ten elite Reaction Officers into the area-marking a significant step forward in the ongoing mission to keep our region safe.

For weeks now, shoppers and business owners around Ireland Street-particularly near the beloved Verulam Farmers Market-have voiced growing concerns over the rise in vehicle thefts and robberies, especially on busy market days. RUSA has heard them loud and clear.

In collaboration with the Verulam SAPS, Reaction Officers will now maintain a strong, visible presence in the CBD, offering both deterrence and rapid response. These highly trained officers aren't just patrolling-they're actively engaging in joint operations aimed at dismantling criminal networks and restoring peace of mind to local residents.

"Our presence here is not temporary," a RUSA spokesperson confirmed. "We're committed to partnering with SAPS and the people of Verulam to ensure this area remains vibrant, secure, and welcoming."

With an unwavering dedication to community safety, Reaction South Africa continues to prove why they are more than just a security service-they are the first line of defence for thousands of citizens who simply want to live, work, and shop without fear.

Their presence is not just felt-it's trusted.

For emergencies or to report suspicious activity, contact Reaction Unit South Africa's 24-hour operations centre 086 1234 333.

Together, we are stronger.

Together, we are safer.
