Police Force Honour Party

Police Force Honour Party

Date: 2016-07-29
On Wednesday, 20 July 2016, Linc Church hosted a wonderful occasion to celebrate the local Umhlali Police. The leadership at Linc chose to honor the local Police Service, and thank them for fighting for Justice on our behalf.

The 80 Police Service personnel who attended, were honoured, thanked, prayed for, and fed extravagantly with a sit down luncheon. Linc also launched the "Adopt-a-Cop" prayer ministry, which partners with other local churches, as well as a counselling program that they are able to make use of. The "Adopt-a-Cop" initiative is a way to give back to the law enforcement fraternity in the community. It's an ideal opportunity to come alongside these public servants by lifting up a policeman or policewoman in prayer each day.

They in turn graciously said a thank you speech and presented the church with a gift of a beautiful tree to remind us to think of them, and to pray for them. A group of talented ladies also entertained everyone with singing and dancing!!

A very successful unifying day between pastors and police! What a privilege to work together as friends to make this city a better place. A day that will have long lasting ripple effects, with members of the local police force knowing they are not unnoticed!!
