Date: 2017-07-28

Checkout Verulam Falcons AC's development League - Hypersave Series' 23rd Leg took part place on Sunday, 23 July. Athletes started from the Verulam Day Care Centre and joined the R102 towards Tongaat and turned back at the appropriate distances' halfway points. The considerable number of Falcons on the road gave the club the dominance over other local clubs' athletes.

Junior Zaakir Adam ran the 15 km in 01:15, whilst Iggy Nehore walked 15 km in 01:50. While 76 years' KB Chain displayed age is just a number and led the 10 km Run -01:12. Newcomer and Everest Heights's resident Chris Peters lead the 10km Walk - 01:30.

This week the League had 5 junior athletes over the 5 km, 10 km and 15km. It was heartening to see youngsters' enthusiasm. Falcons AC supports the youth and families' participation in its activities. Therefore, the club has planned a Family Day on the 9 August for its members and their families as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations.

A Charity 5 km Fun Run is being planned for the 2 September, 08:00 am, Verulam Secondary School Grounds. The public is encouraged to support the Fun Run. Entry Fees are R20 only. If you belong to an organisation or school, the entry fees are donated the organisation or school.
