Pebble Beach Selling fast!
Its time to choose your 'slice of paradise'
On Saturday 26 November 2016, as the sun slowly rose on the East Coast of Durban, so too did the dawn break on a remarkable new development, Pebble Beach- Sibaya.
The excitement was palpable as the doors to the Moses Mabhida Stadium's Presidential Suite were unlocked at precisely 5am.
Inside the venue, tables were decked out with tall white orchids, black and gold cloths as well as marketing pamphlets, gigantic, mounted floor plans and price lists. Awaiting all was a delicious hot breakfast and bottomless cups of tea and coffee.
Outside in the car park, a long snaking queue consisting of fashionably dressed buyers or their paid "sitters" waited impatiently to cross the threshold and choose their "slice of paradise" to be situated on the last available piece of unobstructed beachfront land.
Thousands of potential investors had already registered their interest in the weeks leading up to this defining moment and people were sleeping in their cars or on the pavement for two nights before to ensure that they got into the event on time to secure their preferred unit.
This occasion was the first opportunity for those who had pre-registered to confirm their purchase. It was structured in such a way that all prospective buyers, regardless of the amount they planned to spend, formed a queue while the developer handed out their numbers from 05h00 on a first come, first served basis.
At exactly 08h30, buyer Number 1, Satish Bisram and his wife Nirvana were called upon to have first pick of the 160 units on sale. Thereafter, sales were quickly concluded, with the high ticket apartments first to go, mostly to local investors.
Within a mere 4 hours, 75% of the available 160 units of Sibaya's final beachfront development were sold. However, the frenzy continued on Sunday at the state of the art, on-site Pebble Beach pop up public viewing tower and visitor centre at Sibaya Coastal Precinct. And now only a few apartments are still available for sale but are sure to be snapped up this coming week.
The Pebble Beach Sibaya Development is brought to market by the same dream team behind the recent sell-out success of Ocean Dune - Sibaya. Pamela Naidu heads up Sales and Marketing for ID Realty and is on hand to discuss any aspect of the development with investors.
Both projects' economic contribution, (with residential sales to date totalling over R1,4 billion plus the planned R100 million retail segment), represent approximately R1.5 billion.
The 160 Pebble Beach apartments comprising studio, 1 and 2 and 3 bedrooms are priced from R950 000 to R 7 995000. Privacy and sea frontage are two key elements in this development. The tiered apartments, situated at the southernmost tip of the node, feature unobstructed ocean and coastline views, safeguarded in perpetuity by the surrounding indigenous Hawaan Forest Reserve.
