Through my eyes

Through my eyes

If You Really Need A Rest, Turn Off Your Cell Phone

Voluptuous peach is searching for a macho!

Its not a problem if you don't have biceps and attractive beard.

I need a partner who can caress me in bed.

I promise, you will not regret! Here are my pictures.

Do you ever get emails like this Or am I just one of the chosen few who are honoured with such sickening drivel.

It seems as if the Internet has taken over our lives, it has consumed us and is busy spitting us out and we are just on the flimsy receiving end. Most people I know are desperately trying to stay focused, using the internet as a work tool and nothing else, while others are still trying to decipher what is real and what is FAKE.

None of us deserves to be spammed -none of us deserves this interruption; we do not need to be shown the part of humanity that grows in damp, dark places. Yet they somehow find us and try to exploit our personal space.

Somewhere, unless we are living under a rock, we are being spammed. Messages advertising, hair extensions from China, Sex toys from Brazil and priceless art from unknown sources.

Do you remember the days before the Internet I do but its getting harder and harder to recall precisely the exact time when my life opened up to this overload of information.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg famously "explained" that he wears the same T-shirt every day to reduce the number of decisions he has to make. Yet technology keeps pushing us towards having to make more decisions: how we respond to emails, which software to use, how to update it, interacting on social media, and that's before we start getting messages from Voluptuous peach in search of a macho!

The Internet is driving us mad. It's also making us lonely and disconnected. We now live in a world where it is possible to talk instantly with someone on the other end of the Earth. This instant communication is convenient and helpful, however it creates a reality where the conversation never really ends.

Countless texts are sent back and forth 24 / 7, and conversations lose their meaning. Relationships become even harder, because even couples need time away from each other.

Technology makes this difficult to do because, even if we are not currently talking with the other person, it is not hard to go on social media and see every detail of what the other is doing. We post our entire lives online, and yet still expect our significant other to have something new to say at the end of every day.

We are all so distracted by our phones that we have not fully noticed the zombie apocalypse that is happening right in front of us. Technology is a beautiful thing, but if we cannot learn how to use it responsibly and in moderation, our future may not be as bright as the screens we are holding.

Its time for me to take a break from all devices, I have been preparing for it for some time, however its proving harder than I thought, and I have yet to set the date, but a week without any form of distraction sounds so blissful!

When last did you enjoy a cell free day Who wants to join me on my 'freeing' vacation.
