Helping Paws Needs Help

Helping Paws Needs Help

Author: Tomas Yoko
Date: 2015-05-08
Helping Paws is a heart touching initiative started by animal lover Louise Bennett around four years ago.

Every Saturday morning Louise and her friends Pat, Lee and Kay mobilise themselves and go to Kwa Mashu, where they then dispense dog food to the children and people who struggle to feed their dogs, and to care for them medically.

These amazing people are seeing up to 300 dogs a week, helping with any medical attention the dogs might need as well as arranging for sterilization where necessary. Helping Paws have the medical support of Dr. E Longer who helps with 5 in one inoculations and all the medical needs of the pups and dogs.

McCarthy Lexus has adopted the Helping Paws initiative as part of their corporate social responsibility program and are encouraging you to get involved and help them help these paws in need.

You can drop off any contributions towards the livelihood of these animals, mainly dog food, at their showroom on the corner of NMR Avenue and Somtseu Road in Durban.

Help these ladies help the poor, needy paws of our communities.
