Beverly Hills La Mer Luncheon

Beverly Hills La Mer Luncheon

Date: 2017-03-31

With a clutch of service recognition awards the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel, proudly positioned as the first modern high rise establishment in the now elevated Umhlanga strip, never fails to uphold with stylish delivery at every level.

At the recent famed, and usually oversubscribed, luncheon for ladies, all the dÈcor stops were pulled out to match thematically with beauty partner La Mer, the luxury cosmetic Brand under the Estee Lauder Empire.

The Sugar Club, a proud member of the Chaine de Rotisseurs, played host to the ladies. The room shone out with drop dead glamour, composed on the one hand, with the newly tweaked soft changes, including a swirling sea green carpet and muted luxurious upholstery enhancements, stately on the other, with generously sized chairs and unobtrusive delicate drapes, not in any way compromising the magnificent sea views.

The bespoke table dÈcor, on the other hand, was cleverly contoured to match the rich and diverse beauty that the ocean yields in every form and shape. Almost careless in positioning the shell accessories tumbled playfully, conch and starfish shapes vied for attention, gilded candlesticks tantalized and discreetly positioned mirrors echoed this playful scene.

Aptly matching this was the free flow of Spier MCC, creating an atmosphere of bubbly conviviality. The menu was suitably restrained for ladies who lunch, with the highlight being the artistically plated terrine of roasted leeks and bell peppers, a feast for the eyes and almost too good to deconstruct!

Gifting, as always, provided suitable rewards in bespoke packaging, adding further vibrant colour to a wonderful afternoon. Thank you Lorna Gourlay and team Beverly Hills for another outstanding luncheon.
