Fun In The Sun At Umhlanga Beach Festival

Fun In The Sun At Umhlanga Beach Festival

Date: 2015-12-04
Matric Rage is on, schools break up soon and it is all happening at Umhlanga's Main Beach this summer. Starting with the Beach Festival on the 10th December and running through to the 23rd of December. Beach goers can expect fantastic entertainment and games hosted by Umhlanga Tourism with Kevin Ellis and his team of Just Juice Promoters.

Surfers from all over South Africa will be flying in to take part in the Lizzard Hurricane Surf Event on 12th and 13th December and if you are not entering you can always learn to surf at our surf school that will be open daily. The Jockey Trail Run will be starting at the Millennium Stage on 13th December and offers various distances over a well planned scenic course.

On the 16th of December which is a public holiday to celebrate 'The Day of Reconciliation' the beach will be buzzing with excitement as the top models around South Africa will be taking part in the Miss Umhlanga 2015. Kevin Ellis will be running the event and there are excellent prizes to be won.

The annual Carols by Candlelight will take place at the Boulevard Centre on 17th December where Shirley McLean and her team of singers will delight the crowds.

Umhlanga Tourism Chairman Peter Rose: 'We are expecting a bumper season. We have an excellent program lined up for visitors and locals and hope to see everyone enjoying our beautiful Umhlanga Beach and village again this year.
