It's The New Juke

It's The New Juke

Author: Tomas Yoko

There it was, patiently waiting for me on my driveway, Nissan's latest Sports Crossover, all funky and stylish and capable looking, the sunlight glistening off the Juke's eccentric curves.

As I ran my fingers over the steering wheel I noted the six speed leather-clad gear lever, the large digital display and the sophisticated up-market appointment of the Juke's interior. This might be a 'fun' car, however it is very seriously equipped with luxurious style and technology.

I loved the ample room the Juke afforded me and although it looks like a small car, the interior space is surprising. The split rear seat can be folded forward for those larger items you may wish to transport and there is ample legroom in the back seats.

The Juke was awarded a Five Star Euro NCAP safety rating and when you see the long list of safety equipment you will understand why. Besides the six air bags, the Juke boasts Nissan's Electronic Stability Program and electronic driver assist systems like Blind Spot Warning and even a lane departure warning system.

Driving the Juke was a real pleasure. For me the interior offered so much and as soon as I got out of the car and was confronted by the very unique styling of the exterior, I felt that fresh funky attitude creep back into my perspective.

For a chance to test drive the Juke contact McCarthy Nissan Gateway on 031 576 5300 or visit their showroom at 2 - 11 Sunset Crescent, Umhlanga Ridge.
