I test drove the Volvo XC60 and found that a week was too short a space of time to really get to know the car. There is so much depth to the features and creature comforts that the XC60 offers that I must have gotten lost in the sheer driving pleasure this Volvo offered.
The All-Wheel-Drive attitude really gives confidence on any road in any weather and the ESC, electronic stability control, RSC, roll stability control and ABS brakes, with EBA really made me feel like I was wrapped in a blanket of protection. I had the ultimate sense of control.
Other standard features included Park Assist Pilot, Active high beam, hill-descent control and hill-start assist, and Collision Warning with Autobrake, which detects pedestrians and cyclists and will stop before a collision if you don't.
The sensorial bliss of driving the XC60 was heightened by the Harman Kardon sound system and the Drive-E, Sensus, and IntelliSafe systems that work together to make this an incredible SUV offering. There is a new XC60 on its way, however it will probably only be here at the earliest in April of 2018 and the prime minus 4% offering of the XC60 from Volvo Cars Umhlanga is incredible value.
