The Hay Store at the Point Waterfront

The Hay Store at the Point Waterfront

Date: 2019-11-29

It's almost silly season, holidays are almost upon us, surf-city will start swelling up with tourists and revelers, and the panic of last minute shopping will ensue. Away from the hustle and bustle, mayhem and craziness, the I heart Market will continue to offer its unique brand of "slow" retailing, fine street food and quality entertainment over three Saturdays in December: 7, 14 and 21 from 9am to 2pm.

Rated as one of the top markets in the country, I heart Market has settled into its new home at the urban rustic-chic Hay Store at the Point Waterfront close to UShaka and the newly opened Vetchs promenade.

"Our new venue, has dynamic outdoor spaces and a fresh vibe, enabling us to inject some new ideas into the market," says Anna Savage, owner, and manager of the Market. "We are delighted to now include entertainment and an array of new retailers. Everything is done and made with heart here and this is what makes it such a unique experience for our shoppers. The focus is on encouraging an artisanal, respectful, honouring and eco-friendly approach to the manufacturing of the goods on sale. Then, of course, there are the incredibly delicious flavours from the food vendors using fresh, wholesome ingredients."

Expect to find mostly handmade and finely crafted items at the I heart Market, with some amazing ideas for gifts.

'The idea is to come relax here, enjoy a delicious bite to eat, mingle with like-minded people, shop, eat some more, shop some more, and delight in the entertainment. It's a great family outing, with something for everyone, and completely away from the madding crowd," says Savage.

There is street parking with car-guards, and market-goers can also make use of the uShaka parking, which is directly across the road with a pedestrian gate access.
