The BRICS summit is underway and so many of my patriotic South African friends now face a conundrum, wrestling with their cognitive powers in an effort to assimilate their intense Russiaphobia, brought on by years of western media conditioning, and the possibility that this alignment with Russia may present the only hope we have a s a nation, and a continent, to escape the thieving clutches of western governments.
Putin and Ramaposa dodged the dilemma that would have been had Putin visited SouthAfrica because of the ICC, not the convention centre but the Criminal Court, however the exemplary Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lavrov attended in his place, a very capable and intelligent gentleman.
Back home in Russia, Putin is most likely contending with the special military exercise, which has taken on a life of its own, reeking havoc, death and destruction on Russians and Ukrainians alike. For those who know the truth and have seen beyond the fairy tale NATO would have you believe, the actions ofEuropean leaders like Danish PM Mette Frederiksen, offering F16's to the Ukrainian forces, indicate a level of "captured" thatEurope is just beginning to understand. Back home here in SA we know all about captured. The EU Parliament is looking more and more like ours every day.
In the wake of the tragic Maui fires, conspiracy theories are springing up everywhere, like mycelium after the rains. Some theories point to eviction by fire, with the commercial interests of the burnt out village a long standing thorny issue, the locals don't want to sell their very highly prised land for any price. Some point to an enforced 15 minute smart city being created with rezoning imminent, allowing the government to expropriate the land. Other theories speak of a DirectEnergy Weapon being used to melt cars and houses while leaving trees intact. If only people were as imaginative about important things like ballot counting.
Speaking of ballots, Emmerson Mnangagwa, Zimbabwe's secondPresident will likely want to be the one counting the votes when his tenure as president is tested against the popularity of his rival Nelson Chamisa.
Our own election is looming closer than we think and the latest development of a coalition, uniting in an effort to cinch the power away from the ANC, could be the answer to our country's prayers for deliverance from the stranglehold of insatiably greedy government officials.
Speaking of government officials, every time Biden sics his DOJ indictments on Donald, his popularity soars and Biden's look of guilt soars with it. Talk of sleepy Joe not being up to another term is mixed in with malicious rumours that Michelle Obama is actualMike and that she will step in to take his place, if Vivek Ganapathy Ramaswamy doesn't swoop in and scoop the presidency out from under both of their noses.
AsWorld War Three approaches and NATO pushes harder and harder for a nuclear response from Russia, and the uneducated and uninformed rattle their bunting and ratchets adding fuel to the fire that should it explode would be a catastrophe for every living being on the planet. Just pass the remote.
