The Subway Run performing at The Still Sessions

The Subway Run performing at The Still Sessions

Date: 2016-02-19
The Subway Run is a three piece band from the North of Durban. The band consists of 3 members: Freddy Lalendle on lead vocals, Bradley Downs on guitar and slides and Celene Adams on vocals and percussion. The trio met at an open mic evening, started jamming together and had an instant click and this is when The Subway Run was born.

Their sound is a combination of soul, blues, indie rock and a touch of folk. The focus of the band is on creating heartfelt compositions. The hurt and pain, but also the happy times that they went through individually has made their passion for music very strong. This approach ensures they relate to their own music and audiences throughout the world will.

They draw their inspiration from artists such as Ben Howard, Matt Corby, Louis Armstrong, Sons of the East and Mumford and Sons. They are currently in the process of releasing their first EP, nevertheless they already have some prestigious performances under their belt such as at the Durban Street Food Festival and at Botanical Gardens. The audience can not wait for recorded music from the trio and while recording this, they keep on appearing at live music events, such as The Still Sessions.

Subway Run is very excited for this new journey they are facing together and promise the audience that they always will be the best they can be.

The Still Sessions is a new monthly music and dining experience brought to you by Distillery031 and iSupport Music Business.
