Talk International Social Upliftment supporting local communities

Talk International Social Upliftment supporting local communities

Date: 2013-03-07
On the 1 March the members of the Talk International Social Upliftment Committee visited a local orphanage based in Etete called Entuthakweni Orphanage & Care Centre.

The purpose of the visit was to help enrich the lives of the 15 orphans who live in poverty and to help provide the care givers at the Centre with enough material to help prep the children for school.

The Committee filled the month of February with fundraisers to help raise enough money to meet all the needs of the Centre.

Collectively they raised R10200.00, which was used to buy nutritious food, educational supplies, and school stationary, beds, blankets, toiletries etc.

"We believe that it takes a community to raise a child. Talk International has recognised that by helping these children with basic necessities like education, nutrition and hygiene, betters their chances of a brighter future. In doing this we also aim to enrich their surrounding communities to ensure a stronger, educated and growing future generation." Said Rene Moonsamy-Talk International Social Upliftment Committee Leader.

Anyone who would like to get involved please do not hesitate to contact Angel, the owner and care provider at the center: 0724181122.
