Wings Is What They Got

Wings Is What They Got

It was a one-two pole position and the first one-two team finish of the season, and no surprises that it was the Red Bull team.

Again it came down to tyre management and Vettel seemed to judge his tyres down to the last of their rubber as he crossed the finish line in another very convincing performance in Korea. It was Mark Webber who took pole position at the start, only to be pipped at the post at turn one by his team-mate Vettel. Fernando Alonso fought hard and won third place behind a very confident Mark Webber.

The Sauber team took out Jenson Button's McLaren in a one two smash that saw Perez and Kobayashi put paid to Button's car. Another contender, Nico rosberg, also sustained tyre damage that saw him retire early.

You can't put too much emphasis on the tyres, as a winning tyre selection is often a winning position on the track. Ask Hi-Q Stanger for advice on what tyre you should be using.

In the race for the championship we have a new leader in Sebastian Vettel, jumping ahead of Alonso with 215 points to the Spaniard's 209. Kimi Raikonen hangs onto third place with 167 points and Lewis Hamilton fought hard to get to his score of 153 and hold onto fourth place one point ahead of mark Webber with 152.

In the manufacturer's race Red bull are steaming ahead on 367 points, followed by Ferrari on 290, McLaren lie third with 284 and lotus hold onto fourth place with 255.

The next race day is Sunday the 28th in New Delhi, India at 11H30, not to be missed.
