Rory brings with him oodles of charm and wholesome food to Dragonfly Club House at Palm Lakes

Date: 2018-03-09

Rory Hunt has been a very busy man, he has been building his restaurant empire for close to ten years and this week he is moving his charm and great food into the Dragonfly Club House at Palm Lakes Family Estate.

Zuchini, at Lifestyle Centre in Ballito, is where it all started almost ten years ago. Rory's hospitality traits were brought to the forefront and he provided local Ballito residents with wholesome food, inspired by his Italian heritage.

A growing family and lifestyle choices forced Rory to sell Zuchini and move to Sage, where he once again won the hearts and tongues of many new patrons. And as Rory's success grew so did his yearning for a suitable quality of life, that he wanted to enjoy with his wife Jenny, his thirteen year old son Jeanine, his daughter Gayla who is eleven and the youngest 'oopsie' Georgie, who is just two and a half.

"We have always made decisions as a family," Rory told The Bugle, "It has always been very important to spend time with my children, so it was so amazing when we were offered to run the Ashton College tuck-shop."

It is clear how passionate Rory is about his business, it is visible in the properties he runs, Zimbali Pools is a perfect example of his magical turnarounds. He now operates four outlets and is concentrating more on Estate settings.

"Even though life is hectic," Says Rory, "Time has taught me to entrust some of the daily running responsibilities to my very abled staff. It makes a big difference to the essence of what I do."

Dragonfly Clubhouse interior has recently been revamped with a fresh, modern look, which has created a sense of place as well as a choice of dining options. The ambience feels like a neighbourhood cafÈ, perfect for a quick coffee on the go, or a leisurely lunch around the swimming pool with the family.

New furniture and new faces are seen in attendance. Rory has big plans for the future of his latest venture, Dragonfly Club House, where he will be introducing a range of frozen family meals in his new deli section of the restaurant under 'The Prep Kitchen' brand. "Why cook when you can get a restaurant quality meal in your home kitchen " Rory asks.

Rory will be offering weekly and daily specials, he is also extending his pensioners special to every day of the week. He wants to encourage the local community of Palm Lakes to come and dine with him and enjoy a warm and hospitable experience that he is bringing into the Clubhouse.

So watch this space and watch Rory's success unfold.
