Date: 2013-10-04
Ballito resident, TYLER MIRTLE, who is a scholar at Ashton International Ballito, recently returned home with Silver medals for her team in the inter provincial touch rugby tournament held in Cape Town. Tyler was selected for the SA Elite squad in 2012, and this is the 3rd year of playing provincial Touch Rugby.

SATA (South African Touch Association) hosted the junior inter provincial tournament from Saturday 21st September to Tuesday 24th September at Bellville Technical High School in Cape Town. 5 junior KZN teams participated:- Boys & Girls u/15, Boys & Girls u/17 and Girls u/19, against 9 associations and a total of 50 junior provincial teams were included. After 3 days of grueling matches on a challenging field, which was water, logged from the previous rains, KZN were unbeatable.
