Colin met and fell heavily for the beautiful Jenice Storm at a function held at East Coast Motorcycles. Jenice Storm is also a ZX10 rider and raced in the 2010 ladies class season finishing in the top ten. Jenice has also won several drag races over the years and is one of the strongest contenders in the regional breakfast class and ladies class. Not to be outdone by Colin, Jenice's stunt was a race against a Bell 407 Helicopter around the Phakisa racetrack. Together this loveable couple are planning a future on their Kawasaki ZX10's.
"As Kawasaki riders we enjoy the bike's absolute superb handling, trustworthy feedback between bike and road surface and power available on demand. We are especially impressed with the smooth clutch and gear controls, a pleasure to ride and a definite competitor on the racetrack," says Jenice.
Clayton Francois has a hand in their success and is passionate about helping young riders get noticed. "I started a movement called 'Clayton Francois helping SA riders abroad', to help SA riders with sponsorship overseas, primarily in the British Superbike series, the biggest and most hotly contested series in the world outside of the WSBK." Clayton told The Bugle. "I am currently working with Durban boy Philip Atkinson who is competing on a Triumph 675."
The series is broadcasted to 11 million viewers in Europe and Clayton estimates each race meeting costs around R6 600.00 to have your brand reflected on the bike, and in parc ferme. "I do this for the love of the sport, and receive no monetary gain what so ever. Hopefully we will have Colin out there next year!"
