The Peugeot 3008 SUV Just Keeps Winning
Date: 2017-10-19
Not much needs to be said about the new Peugeot 3008, the vehicle's extensive list of accolades and awards tends to speak on its behalf. It was recently crowned the European Car of the Year, making it the first SUV to don the title in the event's history. With over twenty titles including "Best Family Car", "Best SUV", "Best Medium SUV", the list goes on. It is also a finalist in the Wesbank Car Of The Year award, and that makes you ask; what is it that journalists and car enthusiasts love so much about this car
Well, delving into that realm would cross a bunch of subjective boundaries, but speaking personally, I think it has something to do with the elegant character and unique styling that is incorporated into the intelligent design of the vehicle.
The 3008 has a squat and stable stance and at the rear very smooth lines accentuate the 3 bold diagonal tail lights that give the car a futuristic expression. Beautifully indented rear panels follow an alloy trim across the side of the vehicle leading your eyes towards the front end, which (I'm allowed to say this now, I've written enough of these) is objectively striking and impressionable. The prominent chrome grille is flanked on either side by signature headlamps, which feature LED daytime-running lights.
Even though it looks pretty it defies the stereotype and is also wildly intelligent, packed with all of the latest technologies, driving assists and aids that you could expect from a modern SUV. Multiple drive modes, a configurable 12.3" instrument panel with multiple settings and an extremely intuitive interior that Peugeot have named the 'i-cockpit'. I could go on for ages about the bouquet of features that this car has to offer, but don't take my word, find out for yourself at Peugeot Umhlanga, 15 Meridian Drive, Umhlanga Ridge.
