At Last! First Affordable Private Education Is Here

At Last! First Affordable Private Education Is Here

Author: Kasia Yoko
Date: 2014-10-31
From as early as January 2015, many parents will be able to breath a sigh of relief as they take advantage of affordable private education that will be available, at a fraction of the going rate, when Ballito Academy opens its doors. The PLG Schools, which are owned by businessman Andrew McLachlan, will provide local children with Christian based, traditional education starting from just R1 500.00 per month.

PLG Schools will be headed up by the former executive head of Treverton College in Mooiriver, while the headmaster of Ballito Academy is Ryan Doig, formally the Executive Head at Curro Schools in Durban.

Speaking to the excited management team at their new school campus, formally the Life Hotel, Headmaster Mr. Doig is up beat about the future, "Ballito has been really deprived of affordable education, and parents were at times forced to take their children to schools in Durban to avoid the high school fees. Well PLG is putting a stop to that, we are offering top notch education on a private school level, to the children of the North Coast with the blessing of the KZN Education Department Head, Dr Singh."

Ballito Academy will open its doors in January offering classes from Grade RR to Grade 11. The PLG School here in Ballito will also offer mainline sports facilities, hotel style boarding facilities at only R3500.00 per month and a high value, traditional South African school environment. The school has the capacity to accommodate 1100 pupils and is ready for the expansion, which is taking place in Ballito. The PLG Ballito Academy is perfectly positioned in the business node, giving parents the advantage of dropping their children at school on the way to work.

Come and meet the team of educators on the 15th of November for the open day at Ballito Academy. Teachers will be keen to meet and describe their motivations and ambitions, and if you have a child of school going age, PLG Schools want to meet with you. For further information contact the school on 074 103 8546.
