International volunteers promote 'Contrasts of Africa'

International volunteers promote 'Contrasts of Africa'

Date: 2015-09-04
Since it was founded 35 years ago, CROW has relied heavily on the kindness and generosity of both local and international volunteers. In return for their assistance in caring for the rehab centre's many wildlife patients, volunteers gain invaluable skills and experience in working with wildlife which leads many of them to pursue a career in wildlife conservation and protection. Emma Lamb, Allice Poulson, Saskia Beinlich and Frederico Jacques are four such volunteers that are currently providing their time and skills at CROW. In addition to helping with the day to day care of CROW's wildlife patients, the enthusiastic four have been helping to sell the 2016 'Contracts of Africa' calendar that is raising much needed funds for the centre.

Commenting on the calendars, German volunteer, Saskia says "They really are quite beautiful and I plan to take some home for my family and friends who also love wildlife and want to support the good work that CROW does here in South Africa."

The calendar was created by 'Under an African Sky', a voluntary organisation started by Compass Medical Waste Services in 2009. The aim of the organisation is to raise money for animals in need.

The 2016 'Contrasts of Africa' wall calendar, which features stunning black and white images of Africa's majestic wildlife, is now available to purchase. Each photograph has been bordered and is logo free so that you can frame the images after use. The A2 wall calendar is printed in matt on high quality paper and presented in a striking gift box. It retails for R170 each, excluding postage.
