The Director and creator of the showcase week is SABC radio actress, performer and entrepreneur, Yarisha Rajcomar-Panday who has developed the My FairyTale Wedding Lifestyle brand. "I have fallen in love with weddings after my special day and I have wanted to produce an event that targets our rainbow brides, has the international link and strong fashion and entertainment element. It has taken many long hours at the office, unlimited proposals and numerous overseas trips to put this event together but I am ecstatic to offer patrons an event like none other and a magical experience at every show," Yarisha Rajcomar-Panday.
The showcase week has a carnival of events including exhibits of wedding products and services, presents electrifying staged performances, first-of-its-kind runway and interactive shows, service provider showcases, dance spectacular, tasting zone, wedding talk show, grooms zone and so much more.
Fashion shows will feature some of SA's top fashion designers such as Gert Johan Coetzee (who has dressed celebrities such as Kourtney Kardashian and Kristin Cavilleri), David Tlale and Karen Monk-Klinjstra will have their collections showcased. Along with them, from Mumbai, will be acclaimed International designer Rohhit Verma. He has acted in the movie Fashion with Priyanka Chopra and host's India's version of Fashion Police.
An electrifying Bollywood dance spectacular will run from the 15 to 17 February with the most popular Bollywood songs with a complete cast of international dancers from Film City Mumbai. Tickets are R80 and R120 from Computicket.
Brides and grooms can get a chance to meet leading service providers through the exhibition. The exhibition will also include a Tasting Zone where you can sample decadent cakes and chocolates. There will also be useful tips on how to propose and book that special honeymoon. Entry to the exhibition, Grooms and Tasting Zones are FREE.
