Another explosive event was young Kim Jong-un's decision to go ahead with a nuclear test explosion underground, shocking the earth with a six to seven kiloton bomb that produced an earth tremor of around 4,9 to 5,1 magnitude. While half the world is wondering which brand of smartphone the young one chose, President O'bomber, oops sorry, a spello, that would be President Obama, or is that Oh Bummer, anyway, he got out his fighting talk saying that the nuclear tests by North Korea are provocations and threatened "further swift and credible action." Well if the drone bombing of innocent women, children and civilians in Afghanistan and Iran are anything to go by, then they had better be scared. O'bomber, I mean Obama has a higher kill ratio that his predecessor George Bush. As he drones on into the microphone with his nasal twang, the stats pile up against him and his drone campaign. It is sickening. Please God, make it stop.
The explosive week continued the world over, especially in Mali, where a French attack helicopter obliterated the central Police station in Gao, which was being used as the headquarters by Mujao, the Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa. As much as I am against the French military presence in Mali, more than likely motivated by their mineral interests in the region, it seems, by the reports coming from the people in Mali, that the presence and doctrines of Mujao were not exactly welcome. On the contrary, the people of Mali don't want these 'rebels' running their life. So there is a debate and a request for a peacekeeping force from the UN to take over from where the French troops leave off. My question is. Where the heck is the AU? The African Union, don't they have any balls? Why are these foreigners cleaning up this filth? Why aren't we Africans standing by our own and protecting our people from terrorists, because once the rebels are disbanded, they will come back as terrorists and continue to try and control Mali. Am I not the most naïve person you have ever come across?
But most explosive of all is the repulsive, ghastly, nauseating story of the rape, mutilation and murder of Anene Booysen. The issue of rape raises its ugly head in the news once again. Castration might be one deterrent but then relaxing the policies on prostitution may also have a positive effect. Just saying.
