I booked my car in for a service with Jaguar Ballito and from the moment I dialled their number to the moment I took delivery of my car, it was a painless experience.
First up I couldn't have entertained a long wait to get the service done as I was already slightly over the mileage, and lo and behold they were able to accommodate me without any waiting period. I was given a time that suited me perfectly and it was scheduled.
As it turned out my circumstances changed and I needed to move my service, just as that happened I received the SMS reminding me that my car was due for a service first thing on the following Monday morning. I called and spoke to Deon, the service advisor, who very promptly rescheduled my service with no fuss or query.
Then I was offered a range of "mobility options" to get me back to my office. I was offered the chance to wait for my vehicle while it was serviced; they have a fabulous coffee shop called Caffe Lusso. I had to go so my options were many, one of which included a free shuttle, another option was that they would collect and deliver my vehicle or they could arrange for a car hire at my expense, failing which Uber or a taxi service were also on offer, and as a final option a courtesy car could have been arranged. They really went to great lengths, which made me feel really pampered and special. I remember thinking, "So this is how the other half live."
Once serviced, every car undergoes a 30-point 'vehicle health check' and is washed and vacuumed, or a detailing valet can be arranged at extra cost, before you collect it.
