Dinner For Two - Follow the path to Maritimo's and a Culinary Journey

Dinner For Two - Follow the path to Maritimo's and a Culinary Journey

Venturing to Maritimo's for the first time I was somewhat curious as to what to expect. Conveniently situated, within the illustrious Cabana Beach resort in Umhlanga Village, where you can make use of their undercover parking, is, well, convenient.

Strolling down through the resort with my better half, I was rather awed by the attractive pathway leading to Maritimo's. Entering the restaurant, we were promptly and warmly greeted, something which always sets a good first impression.

Walking to our table, I couldn't help but notice the maritime theme with cool ornaments such as harpoons, anchors and model ships. We had opted to sit indoors as it was a wee brisk outside, which was unfortunate, as the outside tables have breath-taking views of the sea, just a stone's throw away.

Our drinks order was taken and served very promptly, leaving yet another good impression. We belatedly decided upon our food, namely grilled calamari tubes to start and pork fillet for mains.

Once again I was very impressed with the quick and friendly service when our food arrived, which was most scrumptious. Topped off with a delectable Créme Brule, our tummies were indeed smiling.

So what we discovered was a hidden gem then, great service, décor, scenery, ambience, food and competitive prices. Without a doubt I would recommend Maritimo's any day! Walk in or make a booking on 0315615672.
