World Hospice and Palliative Care day Celebrations by Khanya Hospice

World Hospice and Palliative Care day Celebrations by Khanya Hospice

Date: 2018-10-19

World Hospice and Palliative Care day did not just "come and go". The Khanya Hospice staff also celebrated this day as part of their annual calendar. They were also joined by Frida Bloemendal (green hat) and Mieke Breuers (front beige hat) both from The Netherlands, doing volunteer work at Khanya Hospice for 6 weeks. Khanya Hospice, offers Free Palliative Nursing care to people who request this.

At the moment the nursing staff can only offer Free home based care, but Khanya Hospice Board decided to extend their current facility to cater for a 36 bed, in-patient unit. Currently plans are being drawn up for this.

This facility will offer 24/7 nursing care to those who need this.

Anyone needing the services of Khanya Hospice can contact 083 597 8985 or hospice@scottnet.co.za
