The orchestra will perform under the baton of resident conductor Lykele Temmingh. The programme includes much-loved items such as New York New York!, an Abba Medley and Strauss' Voices of Spring, R.Hardiman's The Lord of the Dance and Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture.
To enjoy the orchestra's playing even more, on 13 September 2012, the orchestra launches its World Symphony Series Spring Season at the Durban City Hall. Concerts take place every Thursday at 7.30pm. The season will run until 1 November 2012.
To enrich your concert experience, pre-concert talks take place at the Playhouse Alhambra Room at 6.15 on the night of each concert. The speakers for the season are; 13 and 20 September - Ted Brien, 27 September - Lykele Temmingh, 4 October - Dr Teddy Pllay, 11 and 18 October - Michael Green, 25 October - Barry Edwards and 1 November - Stavros Anthias.
