Sounds For Hounds
Each and every living creature deserves the right to be treated with love and respect, to have a warm place to sleep, and access to clean water, food and freedom. Life not spent on the end of a chain.
This is the core motivation driving PET RESCUE,a volunteer group of people that dedicate every spare minute of their free time to care for animals.Their work includes finding shelters and foster homes, microchipping animals, rescuing lost and trapped animals and rushing injured and ill animals to vets, and they deal with everything from animals in abusive homes to animals that have been stolen or used for illegal fighting rings.
These animals needshelter, food, medical treatment, networking, sterilization, inoculating, calming and loving care, and fostering and forever homes, a list that overburdens bigger and better-known organisations like the SPCA, where animals often end up being put down due to sheer lack of capacity.
Pet Rescue operates primarily in theHillcrest, Pinetown, Westville, Sarnia, Cowies Hill, New Germany, and assists in the Malvern, Queensburgh and Phoenix areas.
To raise funds for this worthy cause, a carvery dinner is being held at the Butler's Restaurant, in Hillcrest, onSunday 5th of March at 12PM. The food will be accompanied by the equally delicious sounds of three talented musical sets; Andrew Young, The Brunettes, andChloe Clark's "Put A Swing On It" Band.
