As South Africa slips quietly into a technical recession while Cyril is out the country, hopefully not selling us all to Xi, we are in the long fingered hands of David Mabuza. Yep, he's running the country while Cyril is in China. Now that not only makes me nervous, it has alarm bells ringing in my head. I mean this is the same man that was recently lambasted by the New York Times, which produced a forensic analysis of the "monumental scale of corruption and dodgy deals that propelled the deputy president from a high school maths teacher to becoming the second-most powerful man in the country" end quote.

Wow, they really gave it to him. But don't worry fellow South Africans, the lambasting was run under a heading that reads word's to the effect of "South Africa Vows To End Corruption." The heading goes on but I don't want to bore you. Just rest assured that the math's teacher knows how to add and definitely knows how to subtract.

Well as it goes most people out there are aware of how China is quickly buying up the world, dolling our Yuan like biscuits at a tea party, I just hope Cyril is aware of it. China just pledged a further sixty billion Dollars to Africa and then just to keep us all calm and in the know, rejected the allegation that this is "debt trap" financing. Ooh I feel so thick right now, thick as two short planks.

The State Capture Inquiry is becoming a real circus act with accusations flying everywhere. Phumila Williams has accused Faith Muthambi of trying to pave the way for new till digging, tender rigging personnel to fill the seats at the GCIS.

In a turnaround for the books, one that had me laughing a little too much at the news item, Moscow recently detected US attempts at meddling with the Russian elections process. I laughed. At least they detected it before the elections and not after they had elected a buffoon or some sort or other. LOL

And now with the revelations that China may in fact hold over twenty thousand tons of gold in reserves, which it could use to back the Yuan, which in turn could "kill" the US dollar. Alasdair Macleod, from goldmoney.com, sent out a warning about the global financial system relying solely on the US Dollar for trade, spoke out on RT recently saying, "The US is giving a message to every other nation which relies on the dollar for its cross-border trade, that this is actually something not very safe to do. You need to have an alternative." So go buy gold, IBV would be a great place for that.

Speaking of the US, I was interested to hear that Donald Dump and his US buddies suddenly found their conscience with the final push in the war in Syria heading towards the terrorist's last stronghold in Idlib. Suddenly a humanitarian crisis needs to be avoided. Suddenly they care. The American involvement with the Syrian terrorists might just have something to do with that. And the bombs rain down in Yemen.
