Turn To SAC's Trained Technicians When Servicing Your Vehicle

Turn To SAC's Trained Technicians When Servicing Your Vehicle

Date: 2015-06-26
Servicing your car, bakkie or SUV can be daunting.

You take your vehicle to the service centre and hand it to someone while you have to trust that he or she will know what they are doing.

Later in the day your vehicle is returned with a bill for service items that you often don't have a way of validating. No wonder it is considered a grudge purchase.

At Steves Auto Clinic we recognise that servicing your car, bakkie or SUV is not your idea of a fun day out, so our sales consultants are trained to take the fuss out by quickly and efficiently helping you when you bring your vehicle in and explaining what will be included in your service.

To make the service experience better, the team at Steves Auto Clinic have divided your routine services into three different types.

On most occasions you will only require a standard - minor service where our technicians will inspect your vehicle and replace oils and filters. This is a quick procedure and does not cost an arm and a leg.

However, every so often the team will suggest an intermediate service that services, lubricates and checks a greater number of items on your vehicles. The cost remains low and the technicians can perform the service quickly and efficiently.

The most comprehensive service is our major service, which is done at pre-specified intervals as suggested by the vehicle manufacturer. During these services our technicians inspect virtually every part and consumable on your vehicle to make sure that everything is still in order.

During a major service the technicians inspect items such as your cambelt, which needs to be replaced at pre-set intervals to prevent damage to your vehicle. The technicians will also inspect the working of your clutch and adjust or replace it as necessary, although this will only be done in consultation with you.

Other items that are regularly inspected include your vehicle's shock absorbers and brakes. Shock absorbers are unseen and often forgotten, but they work really hard and worn shock absorbers can negatively affect your road holding and vehicle safety, so it is important to check them during a service, as our technicians are trained to do. At the same time the brakes should be inspected during all types of services to ensure that you and your family remain safe at all times.

Regardless of your servicing needs, contact your nearest Steves Auto Clinic service centre to discuss your servicing needs and put your mind at ease.
