Valentines Day made easy

Valentines Day made easy

Date: 2014-02-07
With Valentine's Day just a week away the 'LOVE' adverts are all over the show. The advertising campaign has been brewing and is directly aimed at us to do the right thing and spoil the one we love.

Personally I can't speak for all women but I have a feeling I speak for most when I say yeah jewellery is nice but it doesn't compare to the little things men do to make us feel special.

With the big day just around the corner I want to share with you, some Valentine's day ideas that won't break your budget but they will certainly make your Valentine feel extra special.

  1. Dinner for two. My all time favourite Valentine's Day, if you cannot afford that restaurant meal that she loves, buy the ingredients and try to make it together. Make an evening out of it taking your time to prepare everything down to the rolled napkins and candles on the dinner table. Sometimes the intimacy is better than the crowded space.
  2. Movie night.Maybe cooking an elaborate dinner isn't your thing. Maybe this is the one night a year where you both don't want to cook. Order in your favourite food, there are enough places that deliver to your doorstep. Get your favourite bottle of wine.Set the mood with a few blankets and cushions on the floor. This is the time for romantic latest release DVD release something like "A Case of You"
  3. Massage.Break out the body oils and lotions, scented candles and soft music and give each other a gentle, relaxing massage. There are few things that feel as good as a back massage when we are tense from a day in front of the computer or a foot massage if you're on your feet all day.
  4. Write a love letter or poem.Who doesn't like receiving a heart felt letter all about what makes them so great and special? If you don't know where to start there is some inspiration for you:
  5. A day of surprises. If your Valentine likes surprises why not make a day of it? Start with their favourite breakfast in bed. Tuck love notes in places you know they'll search throughout the day.Show up at work with flowers and take him/her for lunch.
  6. A Day at the Spa.Creating a fabulous spa experience at home after a long day at work is my idea of a great night.Light a few candle, draw a warm bubble bath, have soft music playing, a bit of bubbly and a good book  heavenly!Or just book a couple's treatment at any of the fabulous Spas
  7. Sweets. You don't have to go all out and get the best, most expensive, largest box of chocolates that you can find. What's their favourite? It can be as simple as a bar of dark chocolate
  8. De-stress.If you've both been a bit stressed out lately or are under fire from the constant chatter of your darling toddlers, head out to somewhere quiet.
