A New M For Mercedes

A New M For Mercedes

Date: 2012-06-28
The premium SUV with permanent all-wheel drive from Mercedes-Benz - the third-generation M-Class - includes exceptional safety and well-balanced ride comfort as well as excellent driving dynamics both on and off the road. What's more, this new M-Class features an array of new chassis developments and innovative dynamic handling control systems which further enhance both driving enjoyment and handling safety. A characteristic body design and a variable interior with a high wellness factor, adds to the richness of the driving experience in the new M-Class.

The third-generation Mercedes-Benz M-Class, scores particularly high on energy efficiency, with the new model range consuming between 23 and 28 percent less fuel than the outgoing models.

One outstanding model is the new ML 250 BlueTEC 4MATIC, which boasts an NEDC consumption of just 6.5 l/100 km (165g CO2/km) and has a range of up to 1 500 kilometres on a full tank.

"The M-Class established the premium SUV segment since introduction in 1999 and is undoubtedly a class leader. The M-Class combines high levels of comfort with great off-road capabilities, no matter the terrain," says Eckart Mayer, Vice President, Passenger Cars, Mercedes-Benz South Africa.

"A range of powerful and efficient engines, a class-leading cd figure (co-drag efficiency) of 0.32 and comprehensive BlueEFFICIENCY measures, lay the foundations for outstanding energy efficiency," Mayer added.
