With The New Nissan Qashqai Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder

Oh what it is to just pass the time driving in style, with the rainy wet conditions and the beautiful Jacarandas in full bloom, life couldn't be more beautiful. Oh, but wait, it is not just the zooty style that worked wonders for me with the new Nissan Qashqai. It was the decent levels of adjustment in the steering wheel and driver's seat that made it easy to get comfortable up front.

What I love the most about this compact SUV is that the new Nissan Qashqai is fairly well priced and has a long list of standard features. Decent running costs add to the appeal of its can-do looks. The Qashqai build quality has been praised by the toughest critics, designed for family living, so it was made tough to ensure that it won't fall apart when my kids attack it.

The new 1.5 dCi Pure Drive engine is extremely fuel-efficient and has plenty of power. The Qashqai has ample room inside, it's interior is clean, uncluttered and attractive. The model I tested sported leather upholstery and heated seats, perfect for the wet and cold conditions. Another thing that impressed me was the sound proofed engine, which really did enhance my driving experience.

Using a set of discretely hidden cameras, 'Around View Monitor' made maneuvering and parking easy, even for this female driver. I had a bird's eye view of my surroundings. Working seamlessly with the 'Nissan Connect' touch screen navigation system, 'Around View Monitor' added three additional cameras to the Qashqai's existing rear view system, giving me a 360° view. What's more, I could choose to focus on the image from any one particular camera, which was really cool when parallel parking.

The Qashqai get a thumbs up from me.
