Foodie - The Russian Lady's Rich Chocolate Cake Recipe

Cake ingredients:

• 1 cup cake flour

• 1 cup white sugar

• 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

• 1/4 teaspoon salt

• 1/2 cup hot water

• 1/2 cup cooking oil

• 4 large eggs

• 2 teaspoon baking powder

• 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Instructions:

1. For the cake: in a large bowl mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder and salt

2. Add the oil and hot water - mix.

3. Add the vanilla essence and baking powder - mix.

4. Add 4 egg yolks and mix again.

5. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk the egg whites until soft peak forms.

6. Fold the egg white into the batter.

7. Divide batter into two cake pans and bake for 20 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius.

8. Turn over on a cooling tray and let cool.


Recommendations

Originally in this recipe uses 200g of butter. Instead of butter I use 1/2 cup of oil. This way the cake comes out beautifully moist.

Syrup

Put 1/4 sugar in 3/4 boiling water and let it dissolve. When it's cooled add 4 tablespoons of vodka (or more if you want to super storng).

Icing

Place 1/2 whipping fresh cream heat to 50 degrees Celsius and add to 300g of dark chocolate.

Put in fridge overnight to cool.

When its cold beat it with mixer on medium speed until it foaming

How to finish the cake

1. Cut each cake into two layers

2. Spread syrup on each layer and add cream

Cover the cake with the icing and decorate with grated chocolate all over.


Enjoy anytime and anywhere. Keep away from children. This is a delectable cake suitable for over 18's.
