Introducing the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Range

Introducing the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Range

Author: Tomas Yoko

Ever since I test-drove the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, I have been a changed man. I felt a sense of awe as I slipped into the driver's seat. It wasn't anything, it was everything, a sense of total cohesion in an artistic expression of beautiful functionality.

Italian style, beautifully crafted in seamless integration is what you can expect from the interior of the Stelvio. I was soaking up the art that was this car, a giddy heady feeling, I ran my fingers over the finishes as if I could not believe their textures. A sensation much like gooseflesh overcame me, and I had not even pressed the start button yet.

Once you press the start button, there's no going back, whether you're in the Stelvio Quadrifoglio or the Stelvio Super. The performance matches its bombshell looks. The incredible handling comes from Alfa Romeo's Active Suspension featuring electronic shock absorber control, working in conjunction with the Alfa D.N.A. Pro Dynamic Driving Control system, the Alfa Q4 electronically controlled four-wheel drive system, which is all enhanced by the "Race" performance mode. The Brembo high-performance braking system gives that total control feeling and the achievement of the ideal 50/50 weight distribution and extremely direct steering made me feel like I could dance in that car.

Speak to Wayne Prigge at CMH Alfa Romeo Umhlanga, and treat yourself to a test drive of the Stelvio, its worth it. Call them on 031 001 3650 or pop in at 89 Flanders Drive, Mount Edgecombe.
