"Just Imagine Concepts" is just what you have been waiting for

"Just Imagine Concepts" is just what you have been waiting for

Date: 2015-12-25
Siphelele "Dimples" Luthuli is a Self-employed Entrepreneur, mother, mentor, DJ and more. Siphelele Luthuli or Dimples, as she is known, is a fascinating woman with grand aspirations and the right energy to make them a reality.

Dimples is mother to seven-year-old Lethingcebo, however that does not slow her down, recently she was named as one of Women in Motion magazine's 100 Most Influential Women for 2014/15.

We met at the picturesque Canelands in Salt Rock, to discuss her latest projects. Dimples is now focusing all her energies on tourism marketing, having worked for corporates and government, including five years as senior marketing manager at Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, before starting her own business - Just Imagine Concepts.

Dimples loves what she does, she loves creating unique experiences for people, understanding their personal needs and working with great brands, including Gooderson Leisure, BMW and Estée Lauder. She thrives on this new adventure and welcomes the challenges that come with owning your own business.

"My business is the 'stokvel market', which has a value of around R44-billion." Dimples tells me. "You can't copy and paste solutions for different travellers. Our guests want a lifestyle experience and they want to explore the hidden gems of KZN. I want to unlock that for them. From the beach to cultural tours, historical sites and whisky tastings, we go beyond the ordinary."

Dimples explains to me the dynamics of her new found passion, "The margins are tight in tourism so creativity is key." she tells me. "Local tourist are fundamental to the sustainability of our tourism industry in our country. Identifying various markets is crucial to my success, matching the right target markets for each property is key - adding extra entertainment and excitement is what makes my concept a success."

"We are a one stop shop for leisure, business, academics and sport tourism, offering tourists holistic, value for money, tailor-made packages, which are suitable for all markets segments with the focus on fun, exploration and lifestyle needs." Concluded Dimples.

Dimples works closely with Durban Tourism and South Coast Tourism, and is currently collaborating with Metro rail to develop itineraries that revive the beauty of rail travel. Her passion lies deeply in the leisure, conventions, sports and ad hoc events, that seek to promote destinations on the African continent.
