Paul Gibson started at the Beverley Hills Hotel two years ago, having moved from the InterContinental Sandton Towers in Johannesburg, and is now in charge of overseeing the smooth running of the Front Office Department, the pulse of the hotel.It is evident that Paul loves what he does. ?With parents of Mediterranean descent, and a strong bond with his siblings, Paul has a compassionate side which resonates through in the great relationships that he has built up with guests over the years. Paul has a keen interest in travel and has spent time in Europe and the USA and has a continuous drive to maintain the luxury experience for guests of the hotel.

When speaking to Paul you would never guess that he is continuously managing the guest cycle from arrival to departure, as he portrays a very calm demeanour.His job is complex yet he affords you his complete attention. Paul's genial nature extends beyond being the point of first contact at the hotel. He builds relationships with the guests, by checking on them while lounging at the pool, recommending restaurants andattending to minute details of Beverly Hills' hospitality that make staying with them so unique.

"My muse is our General Manager John de Canha," Paul confides, "John de Canha guided me in explaining that it is not always about the figures, but also the human element which is vital for success. His caring attitude towards his guests extends to his staff and he continues to inspire me.''enthuses Paul.

"Being able to afford dedicated staff members with the opportunity of growth offered to me early in my career gives me great joy and keeps me humble."

Paul spoke openly about his philosophies and what he has learnt from the years of experience in the hospitality industry saying, "Each day has a purpose, whatever happens, take in the experience,, own it, absorb it and move forward with it .Each experience gained will be of great benefit later in life.
