What's the issue?

What's the issue?

Shots fired! And so the madness continues with North and South Korea heading unchecked towards mortal combat. The operative word here is mortal. Mort being Latin for death, maybe Obommer and Kim Jong Il didn't do Latin at school. I didn't but I still know its meaning. How does that work?

North Korea is using the term "nuclear" more and more often in an ever-increasing threatening tone. South Korea continues their military "exercises" while North Korea ups the ante with their military "exercises". Where is all this exercising going to lead them?

Well it would be easier to take in if there wasn't another conflict just a few countries away, Syria rages on and it is such old news now that we hardly even hear of the developments unless a fighter plane is shot down or a celebrity breaks a fingernail trying to open a tin of bully beef.

No, why should we care when the so-called leaders don't seem to give a hog's petute about avoiding armed conflict. In fact they just seem dead set on it.

Good news is that the Ukraine parliament ordered all armed groups to lay down their weapons, while Obommer clung to his rhetoric and together with his cohorts NATO, babbled on about ending civilian and military cooperation with Russia over the Crimea incident. When will Obommer realise that Putin is not a twit, he probably plays a lot of chess, you know these Russians and their chess, it is a fantastic strategy game, and I don't think Obommer played quite as much chess as Vladimir.

Well it is interesting to note that the Chinese have apparently being buying up gold like there is a mining strike on the way, more than doubling it holding of the lovely yellow metal.

Well while NATO the EU and the USA engage Putin with a pawn to rook 6 move, back home we get on with being South African. Our response to SARS' collection program overwhelms their coffers. Having handed over a large clump of cash we can now get on with the job of having a free and fair election. Never mind the fact that South Africa has the highest new AIDS infection rate in the world, lets concentrate on important things. Things like the laugh a minute Malema dude who must be sucking on sour grapes after losing his court case to the IEC, now he insists that chairperson Pansy Tlakula had better resign or else he will bring legal action against the IEC.

With Mamphele Ramphele's Terbrugge Community Trust under scrutiny for corruption, it has been announced that Africa is open for business with improved infrastructure and governance. Just not the same old colonial style grab the wealth and split system that this continent has fallen fowl of over the last few centuries.
