Umhlanga 12km Trail Run & Walk

Date: 2012-06-28
One way to enjoy Durban's gorgeous winter sunrises is by competing in the upcoming Umhlanga Winter Carnival 12km Trail Run/ Walk and 18km Trail Run at the Umhlanga Sands Resort on 8 July starting at 6.30am.

The popular event will be staged over two brand new courses that promises to please those that are dedicated to off-road adventures. With the new routes the organisers have moved the start and finish area, for the winter run the start and finish will be the Umhlanga Sands Resort. The trails aren't too technical and will include a variety of terrain for both courses.

The 18km route, adrenaline athletes will witness trail running at its best. The longer trail has some interesting twists and turns, and a gorgeous view point along the way.

All runners will be given a Spur breakfast pack on completion of the race and Powerade will be available at the single water table at the 9km mark and finish line for runners. Generous lucky draw prizes will also be awarded.

For enthusiastic walkers to the more serious trail runners, come and enjoy the Umhlanga Winter Carnival 12km Trail Run / Walk and 18km Trail Run on 8 July at the Umhlanga Sands Resort.
