Suzuki SX4 Life

Suzuki SX4 Life

The launch of the new Suzuki C segment crossover, a segment that Suzuki was the first to introduce to the South African motorist, was to take us to the Mpumalanga province for an enthralling experience. The cosmos was out in full bloom but nothing could take away the limelight from the new Suzuki SX4. Gone is the previous model SX4, no sign of it in the new car, Suzuki Auto South Africa's national marketing Manager Francois van Eeden told me that they redesigned the SX4 from the ground up.

The styling has taken on a much bolder look, "The spacious new SX4 offers exceptional versatility and superior handling, along with a technologically advanced, highly efficient engine and new AllGrip four-wheel drive system to create a dynamically outstanding vehicle." We were about to find out. The new SX4 is bigger than its predecessor and comes with a whole compliment of new technologies, not least the new 1,6-litre four-cylinder engine, equipped with variable valve timing and electronic fuel injection. With 86 kilowatts and 156 Newton metres of torque the SX4 has ample power.

Linked to a five-speed manual or fuel-efficient continuously variable transmission and you have the ideal crossover C segment car. In the range is a new AllGrip four-wheel drive model with four driving modes of Auto, Sport, Snow and Lock. Check out the latest revelation from Suzuki at Suzuki Umhlanga, 89 Flanders Drive, Mount Edgecombe or call them on 031 941 2730 and take one for a test drive.
