Blythedale Coastal Resort Launches Worldwide

Blythedale Coastal Resort Launches Worldwide

Date: 2015-11-06
The worldwide launch of the spectacular 1000 hectare, R15 billion development site, comprising of 6 villages, residential estate catalysed by a resort hotel complex, known as Blythedale Coastal Resort, took place in Durban, Johannesburg, Dubai and London simultaneously to a combined audience of well over 1000 people on 28 October 2015.

Blythedale Coastal Resort is ideally positioned in the sought after North Coast region of KwaZulu-Natal, within close proximity to Durban, Richards Bay, King Shaka International Airport, Umfolozi and Hluhluwe Game Reserves.

With 3 kilometres of Indian Ocean Coastline, 320 hectares of indigenous forest, 6 themed villages, resort hotel, adventure centre, beach resort and only 33 kilometres from King Shaka International Airport, these features created a worldwide interest with investors from abroad looking to buy sites including the prime beachfront sites priced at R5 million each.

The Blythedale Coastal Resort team, including Andrew Thompson and Mark Taylor witnessed a formidable success at the launch as 270 freehold sites were purchased without hesitation, this makes up 60% of the total land that was released on the night being Blythedale Ocean, Blythedale Forest and Celebrity Mile.

"We also have a potential local investor for the retirement village (approx. 500 units) who also wants to secure a second site where we can do a further 1000 units," said Mark Taylor, the CEO of eLan Property Group.

Over 1000 attendees across the world enjoyed an informative presentation of Blythedale Coastal Resort by Andrew Thompson as well as the prospects of our beautiful Province, KwaZulu-Natal by the MEC of Finance, Ms Belinda Francis Scott. It is safe to say that the evening was a huge success. For all those who weren't able to attend, they had the opportunity to watch a live stream of the launch.
