Speaking to Tony Kocke, Beverly Hill's Executive Chef, "What this is about for me is taking the talent out of the kitchen, showcasing individuals who did not have a chance to attend hotel school. Give them the opportunity with this competition to learn about wine, learn about matching wine, and learn about perfecting a dish. The opportunities that Cape Legends Inter-Hotel Challenge have given to the chefs is phenomenal."
"The Cape Legends Challenge helps young aspiring chefs learn the art of fine dining, introduces them to superior products like the Khoisan sea salt, Rio Larg olive oils and SA pork which in last couple of years lost its popularity, now we can do something exciting with it." He concluded.
