What's The Issue?
What's The Issue?
Date: 2016-01-15
So 2016 is already up to speed and the Rand seems to be slipping faster and faster. This is a concern we should be paying as much attention to as the other drivel. We are living in relevant peace compared to those in the Ukraine and Syria. We have so much already and yet we can't seem to get by. I have faith in our nation and I am sure we shall overcome. The bitterness and irrational bickering has to be drowned out by sober and God fearing rebuttal. As a nation we can achieve miracles. We did it once and we can do it again. Our stumbling block here might just be the leadership issues we are facing at the moment.
However there is power in numbers and I just wish I had a magic wand I could wave that would mobilise the greater group of people in this country, people who have the vision to see what we can achieve if we stand together, people who are not afraid of the falling Rand. Look at what this nation did under sanctions. We can do it again under this economic downturn. My magic wand would waft through the air dispersing positivity and genuine love, because in the presence of love there can be no fear. And without fear we can achieve miracles again. Boost the manufacturing sector is what my wand would do, produce produce for the world to envy and allow tax breaks in the manufacturing sector that would generate growth and er what am I saying? Tax breaks? LOL.
So the wand is disbanded and a reality check swoops in to take its place and the global climate of conflict and division slowly comes back into focus. But what is this? Huge waves of excitement are rippling through the scientific community with the discovery, or for now just possible discovery, of gravitational waves. This is a central element of Einstein's Theory of General Relativity. Now there is an issue we should all be tweeting about. There is something of value and concern that we could well take cognisance of. The important thing in life, the meaningful stuff, not who has the most oil and how many years it will last.
Meanwhile in the Middle East things are getting even more tangled than they were when we donned our swimsuits and headed for the beach and the year-end's festivities. America criticising Saudi Arabia, what next?
